St. Patrick's School participates in the Catholic School Management program that aids us in Strategic Planning. As part of this process, the CSM Committee of the Advisory Board, meets regularly to access the school's long-range needs. Recently the Committee drafted a series of Goals and Objectives for the school. The next step in this process is to have the entire school community review these goals and objectives and tell the CSM Committee their opinions. OBJECTIVES are usually one year in nature ( ours are written for 18 months.) PROPOSED GOALS AND OBJECTIVES CATHOLIC IDENTITY: GOAL: St. Patrick’s School will reach out to our community as Catholics Through community service and acts of charity. OBJECTIVES: • Students, staff and families will give back to our community through the “Little Saints” project. • Students, staff and families will continue programs such as food drives, Christmas caroling and visiting the elderly OWNERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE GOAL: St. Patrick’s School will maintain a strong, supportive School advisory board and Parent group. OBJECTIVES • Increase parent involvement in fundraising. • Increase parent and board support of the programs already in existence at St. Pat’s. • Increase the feeling of belonging to St. Pat’s by students, parents and staff. ENROLLMENT GOAL: St. Patrick’s School will increase enrollment of students in Pre-K through 6th grade. OBJECTIVES • Recruit new families • Keep present families CURRICULUM GOAL: St. Patrick’s School will maintain its strong commitment to meet and exceed State and National standards. OBJECTIVES • Replace out of date textbooks. Science books will be replaced next. STAFFING GOAL: St. Patrick’s School will maintain a highly dedicated, qualified and capable staff. OBJECTIVES • Continue to support staff in their efforts to improve and update their teaching skills • Recruit, if needed, highly qualified staff • Keep salaries reasonably competitive FACILITIES GOAL: St. Patrick’s School will maintain a safe, healthy and inviting facility for all students and staff. OBJECTIVES • Continue plan that is in place for maintaining the building and grounds. FINANCES GOAL St. Patrick’s School will continue to meet expenses. OBJECTIVES • Keep tuition increases to a minimum • Run fewer, more efficient fundraisers. Concentrate on fund raisers that bring in the greatest profits. • Develop a plan to make up for the possible loss of some funding as parishes combine. DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC RELATIONS GOAL St. Patrick’s School will make itself more visible to the affiliated parishes and the community in general. OBJECTIVES • Prepare a pamphlet or poster to be placed in affiliated parishes that highlight St. Pat’s students, staff and events • Continue press coverage in both the Oneida and Syracuse papers • Conduct an Open House/ Information Night for area clergy • Have board, parents, staff and students speak at area churches about St. Pat’s. SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY GOAL St. Patrick’s School will continue to give back to the community and continue to develop a positive reputation in a wider community. OBJECTIVES • Reach out to outlying communities • Participate in service based activities in the area • Make school and program better known outside the immediate area
